High school valedictorian to be deported

SAN ANTONIO - Bullard High School valedictorian Arthur Mkoyan will be deported shortly after his graduation, say immigration officials. The Fresno, Calif., student has been in the U.S. since the age of two and will most likely lose out on at least two scholarship opportunities waiting for him when he graduates. His parents emigrated from Armenia to escape persecution in the early 90s. Now, he and his parents are have been ordered out of the country after exhausting all their asylum appeals. The big hearts at Homeland Security have extended their permission to stay until after his graduation ceremony. |
