Bush should be brought up on genocide charges

SAN ANTONIO - As the death toll reached 100,000 in the Myanmar catasrophe, the U.S. this week assured the people of the military-ruled country that no U.S. government relief would reach the dying without explicit permission from the oppressive Myanmar government, according to AP.

“I cannot image(sic) us going in without the permission of the Myanmar government,” Defense Secretary Robert Gates said at a Pentagon press conference with Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Adm. Mike Mullen.

Mullen further dashed any hope at abating the mounting death toll by telling reporters that the sovereignty of Myanmar was a greater consideration than the thousands that are likely to die if there is not aid delivered immediately.

“[It's] sovereign airspace and you’d need their permission to fly in that airspace,” said Mullen. “It’s all tied to sovereignty, which we respect whether it’s on the ground or in the air.”

Bull-f*cking-sh*t.

If the Bush administration respected sovereignty, Iraq would still be sovereign and the 4000+ U.S. military men and women that have died there since 2003 would still be alive and well.
